From Central London: frequent direct trains run from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, Cannon Street or London Bridge Stations to either New Cross or New Cross Gate Stations; the journey usually takes about 10 minutes. If a direct train isn’t listed, or you are travelling from Blackfriars Station, then we recommend you catch the first available train and change at London Bridge for either New Cross or New Cross Gate. At London Bridge Station, New Cross Gate trains usually leave from Platforms 11-15; New Cross trains leave from Platform 1 or 4.
From South East London and Kent: There are direct services to New Cross Station from Orpington, Sidcup, Hayes, Dartford and Sevenoaks. Change at Lewisham from other lines.From South London, Surrey and Sussex: New Cross Gate Station has direct services from Caterham, Crystal Palace, Epsom and Tattenham Corner. Change at East or West Croydon or Norwood Junction from other lines.
From New Cross Station: turn right out of the station, and right again into New Cross Road. For the Richard Hoggart Building, cross New Cross Road at the pedestrian crossing into Amersham Road, keeping on the right hand side. Follow the road round to the right into Parkfield Road. The Richard Hoggart Building is straight ahead, at the junction of Parkfield Road and Lewisham Way. For Deptford Town Hall Building and Ben Pimlott Building, cross the road, turn right and walk along New Cross Road, past Dixon Road and Laurie Grove (both on the left). Deptford Town Hall Building is on your left hand side. The entrance to Ben Pimlott Buildlng is in St James, which is the next road on the left.
From New Cross Gate: turn left out of the station, cross the road at the pedestrian lights. For Deptford Town Hall Building, turn left; the Building is on your right. For the Richard Hoggart Building, turn left and walk along New Cross Road, past Laurie Grove (on the right) on to Lewisham Way, past the glass-fronted Rutherford Information Services Building, and cross over Dixon Road (on the right). The Richard Hoggart Building is on the right immediately after this, behind the brick wall. For the Ben Pimlott Building, turn right when you cross the road at the pedestrian lights, and take the first left into St James. You will see the entrance through to the large metal Building on the left hand side, just before the nursery
