- Sports Scholarships; Extensive financial and sporting support for elite athletes.
- University Music Scholarships; £500 award for experienced instrumentalists and singers. Also , the University Arts Centre offers 90 music tuition bursaries currently worth £200 each.
- East Midlands Science and Technology Awards (EMSTAs); 120 £1000 per annum awards for students accepted on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) full-time undergraduate degree courses in the East Midlands.
- AstraZeneca Chemistry Bursary; 1 £1000 per annum award for an undergraduate student on a BSc or MChem Chemistry programme subject to satisfactory progress.
- Institute of Physics Undergraduate Bursary Scheme; Limited number of means tested £1000 awards to students within the Department of Physics.
- IPTME Undergraduate Entrance Bursary; £500 awards to students achieving or exceeding the entrance qualifications for the undergraduate programmes.
- Arkwright Scholarships; 2 awards to young students considering an engineering, design or technological career, by working with schools to promote the teaching of Design and Technology. The intention is to encourage the talent of these young students and help them to become much needed engineers and technologists of the future.
- Engineering Awards; The Institution of Mechanical Engineers has a range of prizes and awards for young engineers, whether about to begin studies, already studying or starting a career. These include scholarships, hardship awards and travel grants.
There are also a number of University and departmental prizes on offer for students who display academic, sporting and volunteering achievements.
