Undergraduate fees
- All courses set at £3070
Bursary
- The Manchester Guarantee Bursary; £1000 award available to all UK students with an annual household income of up to £27120.
- Accommodation bursaries; 30 accommodation awards each year that cover the full cost of University accommodation for the first year of undergraduate study. These bursaries are available to students according to their area of residence and financial circumstances.
Scholarships
- The Manchester Advantage Scholarship; £5000 award for UK students who attain three A grades at A level or equivalent and with am annual household income of around £17 910 or less.
- Manchester Success Scholarships; £1000 award for UK students who gain three A grades at A level or equivalent** regardless of household income, who choose one of the following discipline or programme areas.

- The Manchester Achievement Scholarship; £2000 award for students from the Manchester region who have successfully participated in the University's own Manchester Access Programme.
Sports scholarships; Sporting support and awards between £200 to £2000 depending on performance levels.
- Music scholarships; 8 awards are available to UK, EU and international students and cover the cost of tuition by a member of the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM).
Faculties and Schools across the University have developed a range of subject-specific schemes to support their students. Most of these scholarships are available in addition to any University scholarships, up to a maximum of £5,000.
- Chemistry Astra-Zeneca Scholarships; 2 awards to cover tuition fees for students achieving three A grades at A Level or the equivalent* (excluding General Studies) and displays good performance in the first semester of your degree course.
- Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences School Scholarship; 5 £1000 per annum will be awarded on the basis of interview and achievements for the most promising students (home and international) who do not qualify for a Manchester Success Scholarship.
- Civil Engineering Entrance Scholarships; £1000 award for students who achieve three A grades at A level (excluding General Studies) or the equivalent* and are enrolled on any Civil Engineering undergraduate degree course
- Procter and Gamble Product Supply (UK Ltd) Undergraduate Scholarships; £1500 award plus a minimum of twelve weeks paid work placement per year for either a mechanical, aerospace, chemical or electrical engineering students.
- Shell Technical Scholarship Scheme; 2 £2500 per annum awards for both mechanical and chemical engineering students. Students will be selected on the basis of AAA or AAB at A level or equivalent, an interview and satisfying other achievement criteria.
Sir William Mather Engineering Entrance Scholarships; £1000 per annum award for local students from the Manchester area who achieve good grades at A level or equivalent* to study an undergraduate degree course with Engineering in the title.
- Materials Science Entrance Scholarship; The award: The awards will be based on the grades you achieve at A Level or equivalent examination (in relevant science and technology subjects)
> £1,750: AAA at A level or equivalent*
> £1,500: AAB at A level or equivalent*
> £1,250: ABB at A level or equivalent*
> £1,000: BBB at A level or equivalent*
- Mathematics Entrance Scholarships; £750 award for new UK students who achieve three A grades at A level (excluding General Studies) or the equivalent* and are enrolled on any Mathematics undergraduate degree course, if one of the A grades is in Further Mathematics students will receive a £1500 award.
- Physics and Astronomy Entrance Scholarships; £1500 award for students who achieve three A grades at A level (excluding General Studies) or the equivalent and are enrolled on any Physics-based undergraduate degree courses.
- Institute of Physics Undergraduate Bursary Scheme; 3 £1000 awards available for students on the basis of both Widening Participation criteria and academic merit who are enrolled on any Physics-based undergraduate degree course.
- Textiles Entrance Scholarships; £1000 award for All new UK and EU students who achieve three A grades at A level (excluding General Studies) or the equivalent and are enrolled on any Textiles undergraduate degree course.
- Humanities Scholarships; A number of scholarships will be available for UK students studying Modern Languages and Middle Eastern Studies. Contact the Faculty of Humanities for further details.
- School prizes; In addition to scholarships and bursaries most Schools across the University offer annual prizes up to £300 for outstanding achievement. Schools award these prizes annually after second semester examinations.
