- Subject-Based Scholarships (based on academic merit)
>Chemistry (Purdie Scholarships); 6 awards of £1,000 each.
>Computer Science; 6 awards of £500 each
>Mathematics & Statistics; 6 awards of £500 each
>Modern Languages; 10 awards of £250 each
>Philosophy, Philosophical and Anthropological Studies & Film Studies; 4 awards of £500 each
>Physics & Astronomy; 8 awards of £1,000 each
- Fife Scholarships; 5 awards worth £500 in each of up to four years of undergraduate study, available to students ordinarily resident in Fife.
- Mature Student Scholarships; 3 awards of £1,000 for the first year of degree programme only.
- The McIvor Barrow Scholarship; This scholarship is open to applicants from Northern Ireland and is generously supported by Stephen W Barrow, MA (Hons) Economic and Social History, 1990 and Jenny E Barrow, MA (Hons) German, 1990. One award worth £3,000 per annum for up to four years of an undergraduate degree in any subject starting in 2008.
- The Roses Scholarship; This scholarship is open to applicants residing in and having attended a state school in Yorkshire or Lancashire. Other parts of the north of England may be considered. One award worth £3,000 per annum for up to four years of an undergraduate degree in any subject starting in 2008.
- Music scholarships; Musical support available and music tuition fee contribution
- Royal and Ancient Golf Club Scholarship; Golfing support for talented golfers.
- St Mary's College Bursaries; A number of bursaries are available to students in the Faculty of Divinity.
